HARLEM TOILE DE JOUY. Inspired by late 1700’s French toile, interior designer Sheila Bridges created her brilliant and iconic print: Harlem Toile de Jouy. The design brings modern Harlem into the pastoral aesthetic of the traditional patterns with scenes that celebrate African-American culture. A new collaboration with Union LA translates Bridges’ work to a streetwear staple: the pullover hoodie. Casual style becomes vibrant cultural commentary.
